09 Dec SEA Games’ “Toughest Woman” From Bukidnon Wins Gold Medal In Heptathlon
Mga higala! SARAH DEQUINAN of Valencia City, Bukidnon, has won a gold medal in women’s heptathlon yesterday, December 8, and is now the “toughest woman athlete” of the 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games)!
She is the first Filipina to win the said event since Elma Muros-Posadas in 2001.
Dequinan had a total score of 5,101, while Malaysia registered a score of 4,906 and Thailand got a total of 4,730.

ICYDK, the women’s outdoor heptathlon consists of the following events, with the first four contested on the first day, and the remaining three on day two:
- 100 metres hurdles
- High jump
- Shot put
- 200 metres
- Long jump
- Javelin throw
- 800 metres
