25 Jan Seaman Goes Missing Onboard Ship @ Laguindingan Right After His Promotion

Mga higala! A SEAMAN suddenly went missing onboard their ship off the LAGUINDINGAN coast last January 15, right after his promotion, according to an article from ABS-CBN News.
Until now, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in Northern Mindanao is still continuing its search for the said seaman, identified as Dominador Fuentes III, 33 years old, an officer of MV Grande Progreso.
Based on a statement from the captain of the vessel, Fuentes was nowhere to be seen starting at around 3:00 pm on January 15.
The PCG has searched their ship from to bottom, but no sign of the missing seaman was found.
Some of the crew aboard are thinking that he may have jumped off the ship, but the theory is highly unlikely, since hours before it happened Fuentes was able to inform his family that he was promoted as a chief mate.
“Gusto namin makita or malaman ano ang nangyari na ka po-promote lang niya yung araw na yun as chief mate tapos biglang nawala? Yung po ang nakakapagtaka bakit siya nawala na nandito na sana siya sa Pilipinas,” said Nelly Fuentes, the seaman’s mother.
