Senate Approves Bill Lowering Height Requirement For PNP, BFP, & Other Uniformed Personnel

Mga higala! On its third and final reading, the Senate has approved Senate Bill No. 1563, a bill that will lower the “minimum height requirement” for the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and Bureau of Corrections (BuCor)!

Under this bill, female applicants must have a height of at least 1.52 meters (5’0”) and male applicants should be at least 1.57 meters (5’2”).

Previous requirement: Female- 1.57 m (5’2”) / Male- 1.62 m (5’4”)
