23 Jul Senate Approves House Bill Declaring the “CDO River & Its Environs A Cultural Heritage Zone”

Mga higala! The Senate Committee on Basic Education, Arts and Culture chaired by Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian, has approved House Bill 5643, An Act Declaring the CDO River and its Immediate Environs a Cultural Heritage Zone, which was authored by Rep. Rufus Rodriguez!
With this bill, the Cagayan de Oro River and its environs will be developed as an ecological, cultural, and tourism area, and any person or entity who shall cause the destruction to the archeological, historical, cultural and ecological values of the river shall suffer imprisonment and fines.
