31 Aug P600,000 Worth of Shabu, Confiscated and 4 Drug Suspects, Arrested in Northern Mindanao
About P600,000 worth of shabu was confiscated and four drug suspects were arrested as Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Northern Mindanao conducted three separate operations in the region during the weekend.
Last August 26 till 28, three search warrants were issued by several judges of Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, and Cagayan De Oro, to allow the authorities conduct their operations.
Four arrested drug suspects were identified as Arman Mamarinta of Barangay Poblacion, Valencia City, Bukidnon; Tata Goro Datumanong of Zone 6 Barra Opol, Misamis Oriental; Fatima Dumpi, a village councilor of Barangay 31; and Rey Saculinggan of Barangay Bulua, Cagayan de Oro.
Mamarinta, one of the listed target personality of PDEA was apprehended last August 26, Friday, said Adrian Alvariño, PDEA-Northern Mindanao Regional Director.
9 sachets weighed 52 grams of alleged methamphetamine hydrochloride or commonly known as shabu and a pistol magazine loaded with five .45 caliber bullets were recovered by the operatives.
Drug paraphernalia, 71 grams of alleged shabu, .38 caliber pistol loaded with 5 bullets and one Hyundai sedan were seized from Datumanong.
And nine pieces of different sachet sizes weighed about 29 grams containing alleged shabu were confiscated from Dumpi and Saculinggan.
Impounded illegal drugs were already sent to PDEA-Northern Mindanao laboratory service for investigation.
Criminal charges were filed against the four drug suspects and are confined at PDEA-Northern Mindanao detention facility.
