About 80 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or commonly known as “shabu” with an estimated value of P560,000 was confiscated from a drug dealer in Cagayan de Oro City on April 17, 2017, Monday night.
According to a report from ABS-CBN News, the police apprehended a certain Gilber Villarmino who was under surveillance for months for being a drug dealer, during a buy-bust operation conducted in the city.
The police said that Villarmino persuaded some customers by allowing them to pay for the illegal drugs in installments.
A certain Rolly Labandia was also apprehended but he defended himself by saying that he was sent by his wife to pay for their debt to Villarmino. But the authorities found a sachet of suspected shabu in Labandia possession.
The suspects will be facing charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
