In an article posted by Sunstar.com, crowned Miss Scuba Philippines 2017, Sherlyn Legaspi Doloriel, will be showcasing the beauty of the province of Misamis Oriental and Mindanao in the upcoming Miss Scuba International on November 18 in Kota, Kinabulu, Malaysia.
Misamis Oriental Governor Yevgeny Emano said that Sherlyn can be a great help in promoting the different tourists spots in the province by inviting foreigners to visit them especially the water and diving destinations of the province.
He also told Sherlyn to focus on the competition and wished for the best outcome for Sherlyn’s next journey to bring home another crown for the province and for the country.
Moreover, Sherlyn said that she wanted to change the negative perceptions about Misamis Oriental and Mindanao, in general, through the pageant. She wanted to encourage people to come and visit Mindanao, especially in Misamis Oriental, and enjoy its beauty.
