06 Jan Ship Stranded In The Waters Of Misamis Occidental Due To Damage: 100+ Passengers Now Rescued
Mga higala! An OCEAN JET 7 was stranded earlier today, January 6, in the waters of Plaridel, Misamis Occidental, after it sustained damage due to strong winds and waves!
According to ABS-CBN News, the ship’s right hull cracked and was flooded with water.
Fortunately, the Coast Guard and the local government unit are now conducting a rescue operation and over 130 passengers have now been saved.
The ship is bound for Tagbilaran City, Bohol, and has 271 passengers and 17 crew members.
