21 Jun Slain Francisco Baguiz’ Belongings and Money Returned by the NPA
Last June 20, 2016, belongings and money of Francisco Baguiz, a former police who founded the religious group Apocalypse International Ministry, Inc. (AIM, Inc.) and is a politician who was killed by the NPA rebels in Gingoog City, were returned and handed over to DXIF-Bombo Radyo in Cagayan de Oro.
In a letter sent by the spokesperson of the NPA for North Central Mindanao region Allan Juanito to the said radio station, it reads as, ““We are asking you to hand over these confiscated effects of SPO4 Francisco Baguiz consisting of documents, wrist watch, tablet, and cash amounting to P22,447.75 to his family.”
Contained in the package are cash and personal effects of Baguiz such as passport, driver’s license, BDO Debit Card, immigration papers, nine assorted IDs, three passport-sized pictures, pocket notebook, various receipts and RCBC Mastercard.
It was in May 16 when the NPA sentenced Baguiz to death as meted out by their group, carried out his body in Sitio Kidahon, Barangay Malinao, Gingoog City. According to the NPA, Baguiz was allegedly abusive and have oppressed indigenous communities in which his wife strongly denied when she fronted reporters in Cagayan de Oro.
