05 Sep LOOK: SM CDO Downtown Premier Hires Persons With Disabilities (PWDs)
Mga higala! The SM CDO Downtown Premier of Cagayan de Oro City has just hired 2 persons with disabilities (PWDs) as part of their workforce!
According to a post by the Community and Social Devt. Division of CSWD, the PWDs have been granted with minimum wage and benefits.
This is a great move by SM since hiring PWDs is encouraged by the government so that they can be given equal job opportunities and fair treatment.
ICYDK, Republic Act No. 10524, which is a law expanding employment opportunities for PWDs, urges private corporations that employ a minimum of 100 employees to reserve at least one percent of their positions for individuals with a disability.
