SM Foundation Visits Lanao del Norte, Iligan and Marawi City Evacuees

Last January 15, 2018, the SM Foundation, Inc.SM CDO Downtown Premier and SM City Cagayan de Oro, together with DSWD, visited Lanao del Norte, Iligan City and Marawi City’s evacuation centers with the aim to help all those affected by recent calamities.

The SM Foundation was established in 1983 by Henry Sy, Sr. and Felicidad T. Sy. Through the years they have continued to pursue their mission anchored with the founding principle of PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE.

Their various offices throughout the Philippines is committed to serving by supporting and empowering communities through education, healthcare, shelter, disaster response, farmers’ training, environmental programs and care for persons with special needs.

Their visit to the mentioned cities helped a total of 2,500 families. Other than the goods and service that they offered, they also distributed blankets, mosquito nets and stuffed toys to the victims of Bagyong Urduja, Vinta, and the Marawi Siege.
