23 May Smart Communications Inc to Improve Network Services in Mindanao
On Saturday, one of the Philippines’ leading internet provider, telecommunications company Smart Communications Inc., announced its plans of building more infrastructures in Mindanao to provide better service to clients.
“We have a three-year plan of network improvement here,” said Gary Dujali, Smart Consumer Broadband marketing director, in an interview during the launching of the Smart Bro Pocket Wifi at the Marco Polo Hotel Davao.

According to Dujali, they recently completed their network improvement upgrade in Cagayan de Oro City.
Started in 2015, the said improvement project will end in 2018 yet there will be another succeeding improvement plan.
“There is some 100 Mbps (megabit per second) network improvement,” Dujali said.
Smart also launched its Smart LTE just recently and according to Dujali, it offers a preview of what is going to come.
“LTE is able to give you up to 40 Mbps, in 4G it’s up to 12 Mbps maximum attainable rate in terms of speed,” he added.
“We have been very aggressive in providing data, improving our services,” said Dujali and that the company is going to build a double base in Mindanao which could mean faster internet, more hotspot areas and wider coverage. Therefore, Smart network is hoping to double their number of customers in Mindanao with its investments in the region.
