In a drug buy-and-bust operation conducted at Zone 5, Brgy. Kauswagan, Cagayan de Oro on December 21, Wednesday, a supposed member of the Philippines Army was apprehended.

According to a report from ABS-CBN News, Officials from the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group said that the suspect presented himself as Private First Class Jethro Bacarro, 27 years old and an active member of 4th Infantry Division. He is presently assigned to 36th Infantry Battalion in Surigao City.

Two sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or commonly known as shabu and an army identification card were confiscated by the authorities from the suspect.

A certain drug personality alias “Tata” was supposed to be the target of the operation but he managed to escape after the supposed buyer successfully acquired a sachet of suspected shabu.
