08 Dec South Korea Donates Over P100 Million To Build “Smart Greenhouses” In Bukidnon & Iloilo City
Mga higala! South Korea’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs has granted W3.15 billion, or around P139 million, to build “smart greenhouses” in Bukidnon and Iloilo City!
This aims to improve local vegetable production in the said areas with the help of modern and sustainable technology.
With the mentioned amount, 11 smart greenhouses will be built at the Department of Agriculture’s (DA) Northern Mindanao Agricultural Crops and Livestock Research Complex in Bukidnon, for the propagation of:
- strawberries
- potatoes
- cherry tomatoes
Another 10 of these greenhouses will also be built at the Western Visayas Integrated Agricultural Research Center in Iloilo City.
