Recently, Kagay-anons were thrilled with excitement when SKYDIVE CDOC offered skydiving to the public. And just this February 27, Cagayan de Oro’s first skate park, Sovereign Skatepark is now open.

Located at Tambo, Macasandig right beside Royal Palm Mansions, Kagay-anons, skateboarding enthusiasts or those who are interested with it, now have a place to enjoy.

This said Sovereign Skatepark is owned by Don Magracia. Alongside of the skatepark is his skate alliance/shop.

This new skatepark consists of two section.

• Advanced skateboarders can use the smaller one that’s with half-pipes and steeper ramps.
• With the larger one for beginners, it has less steep ramps and curbs.

In order to get access of the park, one must pay P50 for entrance fee which is already good for one day. For those that don’t have skateboards, there are boards for rental. Helmet and safety pads are required especially for beginners, with the park having its own skateboarding clinics.
