31 Jan Special Meeting of Asean will be held in CDO this July
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) will have its vital meetings for two days in Cagayan de Oro City this coming July 10 and 11, 2017.
According to a report from Manila Standard, this exclusive meeting of the Asean Socio-Cultural Community Council is part of the Philippines’ responsibility in hosting the Asean for 2017.
The meeting would be a warm-up to the 50th anniversary of Asean celebrations which is to be held at Clark this coming November.
The Asean meeting will advocates the culture of tolerance, understanding and mutual respect for religions and interfaith dialogue as the Asean council focuses on fostering the human, cultural and natural resources for constant development in a harmonious and people-oriented Asean.
The council said that various arts, film festivals, and heritage programs will also take part of the meeting as it will serve as an opening to the diverse culture of several countries who are a member of the Asean.
