28 Sep Chinese Drug Lord Slayed and 3 Other High-Profile Inmates Injured in Recent Stabbing Incident at Bilibid

Just this morning at 7:40 AM of September 28, 2016, Wednesday, a stabbing incident occurred inside Building 14 of the New Bilibid Prison (NBP), supposed to be heavily guarded by the members of the police’s elite Special Action Force (SAF), involving a Chinese drug lord and 3 other high-profile inmates.
According to Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II, the mentioned Chinese drug lord identified as Tony Co was slayed, with Jaybee Sebastian, Peter Co and Vicente Sy were injured.
Basing on the initial reports, three Chinese drug lords were found having a shabu session in their quarters. The stabbing incident allegedly started when a former police major, also an inmate, tried to stop the said shabu session. That’s when Tony Co attacked with a knife.
“Pumasok si Tony Co at sinugod ng saksak [ang former police major],” said Aguirre adding that they had no hint how the Chinese drug lords were able to slip the shabu into Building 14 which houses high-profile inmates, includes top drug lords.
Both Peter Co and Sebastian were brought to the Medical Center of Muntinlupa City, with the former in critical condition while the latter in a stable condition. Meanwhile, Vicente Sy was rushed to the Ospital ng Muntinlupa.
On the same day, Aguirre will be leaving for Vietnam to accompany President Rodrigo Duterte in his trip. The justice secretary said that he will be assigning people to lead the investigation regarding the stabbing incident.
