23 Jan Starex-Piston To Conduct Rally at LTFRB Bulua Tomorrow, January 24

The Solidarity of Transport Alliance in Northern Mindanao-Pinagkaisang Samahan ng mga Tsuper at Operators Nationwide or Starex-Piston has set a picket rally on LTFRB-Northern Mindanao, Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City.
This will be held, tomorrow, January 24, 2018. This protest is said to go against the government’s plan to kick old jeepneys off the streets by using the implemented PUV modernization program.
In an article by Sunstar CDO, Starex-Piston secretary-general Ringo Lago stated that around a hundred drivers and operators across the region, including other sectors, will join the nationwide protest action.
“Ang atong assembly point is atbang sa Bollozos Funeral Homes unya mag martsa dayon ta padulong sa opisina sa LTFRB.”
Lago also added further that they will raise two issues during the said rally. First would be their objection to phasing out Public Utility Jeepneys (PUJ) and second, the impact of “TRAIN” law to the members of the transport sector.
