Stranded OFWs in Clark Return Home in Northern Mindanao, Test Negative of COVID-19

Through the collaborative efforts of the local government units (LGUs) in Northern Mindanao, the Department of Tourism in Region 3 and Region 10, Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), Clark Development Corporation (CDC), and the Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC), 21 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who were stranded in Clark due to quarantine restrictions were able to get back home to Northern Mindanao on May 9, 2020 through a Philippine Airlines sweeper flight.

They were given certifications of “quarantine completion” by the Bureau of Quarantine, Philippine Coast Guard, and the Oversease Workers Welfare Administration after testing negative for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
