30 Mar Suicide Deaths In PH Increases By 25.7% Amid COVID-19 Pandemic
Mga higala! The number of suicide deaths in the Philippines has increased by 25.7% in 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic!
According to recent data from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), the number of registered deaths due to self-harm or suicide spiked to 3,529 in 2020 from the 2,808 in 2019.
Meanwhile, deaths due to transport accidents and assault decreased to about 8,000 in 2020 from the over 12,800 in 2019.
