For instance, this rave party-like festival was organized in celebration of Oktoberfest but outside the usual Halloween parties that have become part and parcel for the end of October in Cagayan de Oro. After the volleyball competition, this will be followed around 4:00 p.m. by the Bikini Open competition. This will be the first of its kind in the city since rave parties during the fiesta or other special occasions are bereft of such. This is also given the fact that the venue of the dance festival is a beachfront, and that CDO is well known for its hot beauties. As of press time the organizers are still accepting contestants for the said Bikini Open. Those willing to join can check out the Apple Tree Resort and Hotel Facebook page for details.

During the dance festival, a local dance group called the Bombeats will be performing their electronic dance moves on stage. The organizers wanted to further emphasize that the dance festival will be strictly an 18 + event and that minors will not be allowed to purchase tickets or entry to the venue. Likewise, security measures will be tight and that the dance festival will definitely end at 12:00 midnight in accordance with both barangay and city ordinances, even if said venue is located in Opol.

A Dress Code will be strictly enforced, this being Resort Chic. This type of attire is greatly advised since at any time of the night during the dance festivities participants may be drenched by water or bubble foams. Towards the night-time festivities, a Pyrotechnics Show and Laser Show will take place. The organizers also showed where the dance festival will be positioned, including the stage, the DJ’s booths, and the Gold and Platinum ticket areas. The resort’s beach front serves as the perfect backdrop, given the state of the art sound systems, stage designs, and lighting systems for the dance festival. The party will be spearheaded by MC Jared of Metro Davao City. Some sponsors will set up food booths at the venue to sell their variety of foods offering a wide array of flavors and cuisines.

Of course, an electronic dance festival is nothing without a lineup of awesome DJ’s to facilitate the dance mixes. The official lineup of DJ’s for the Sunset at the Beachfront: Electronic Dance Music Festival 2016 will be:
