12 Dec Suspect arrested for rape, murder of a student in Cavite
The suspect behind the murder and rape of a 17-year-old student in Cavite was arrested Saturday. The suspect was identified as Elrick Mojica, 31, a welder, lured the victim, Melissa Malgracia in a facebook chat offering a modeling job.
The 17-year-old student who went missing for four days was found dead in Indang, Cavite. The body was found near a river in Barangay Guyam Malaki at past 9 a.m.
Malgracia, a student at AMA college in Dasmarinas went missing on December 6. Residents told the police that the victim was last seen in her school uniform and on that day Melissa told her parents that she would go out to meet a certain Elrick who offered her a modeling job.
Malgracia’s parents told police that the two got acquainted through Facebook.
The suspect suspended his media accounts after Melissa went missing. However, the police arrested the suspect in his house at Barangay Harasan on Saturday.
