28 Apr 3 suspects arrested in a drug bust at Barangay Carmen
Three suspects were arrested yesterday in a drug bust operation at Camoning Street, Barangay Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City. In an article from Sunstar, it was reported that these suspects were identified as Edward Agawin (33), Demson Japson (29) and Enrique Anito (26), all three arrested in the house of Anito.
Senior Inspector Mario Manatala, Police Station 4 deputy chief informed that they confiscated 2 calibers, 38 revolvers and 25 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or popularly known as shabu.
According to Mantala, the suspects tried to draw their guns prompting the police to fire shots on the floor to warn the suspects.
The suspects were included in the police’s drug watch list and were under surveillance for a week. After being arrested the police acquired information from the suspects that they were the source of small pushers in Carmen, Balulang, Lapasan and other villages. They also hinted that their source is from Camaman-an Village.
In addition, confidential informants told the police that the suspects had the capacity to dispose of 30 big packs, weighing 150 grams and worth Php 750,000 of shabu.
The suspects will be charged with illegal possession of firearms and violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act
