Suspension Of  Gov’t Work On December 26, 2017 And January 2, 2018

Celebrating the holiday season will never be perfect if you don’t spend time with your loved ones. Luckily, Malacañang has issued a memorandum that would suspend government work on December 26, 2017 and January 2, 2018.

In a statement released by Malacañang, the new proclamation was made to give the employees of the government the full opportunity to celebrate the holidays with their families and loved ones.

The memorandum stretches from government-owned and controlled corporations, government financial institutions, state universities and colleges, local government units and other agencies and instrumentalities.

However, it also revealed that those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and performs other vital services shall continue with their operations and render necessary services.

Meanwhile, the suspension of work in other branches of government and in independent commissions, as well as private companies and offices is left on the discretion of the concern management.
