14 Sep Teacher From Bukidnon Receives Most Outstanding Filipino Award From Metrobank
Mga higala! Sir Junmerth Jorta, a beloved teacher in San Fernando, Bukidnon, recently received the prestigious Most Outstanding Filipino award from the Metrobank Foundation!
This much-deserved recognition is the result of Jorta’s amazing efforts and contributions to his community and his students.
ICYDK, in 2016, Jorta became the first full-time teacher assigned by the Department of Education (DepEd) to supervise the newly established Keupiyanan Te Balugo, a last-mile school for indigenous children located in a remote area within Bukidnon’s forests.
