27 Sep AGFI to Put Up P500M Technical-Vocational High School for Scholars in Mindanao
In dedication to the memory of Filinvest founder Andrew L. Gotianun, Sr., a Technical-Vocational High School which represents his advocacy towards education and his commitment to Mindanao’s progress will soon be built at the PHIVIDEC Industrial Estate in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental.
A P500 million pledge to the Educational Research and Development Assistance (ERDA) Foundation and Xavier University was inked in a Memorandum of Understanding by the Andrew Gotianun Foundation, Inc. (AGFI) to put up the said school which will be named Andrew L. Gotianun, Sr. Center for Integrated Technologies, Xavier University. The school is envisioned to produce world-ready graduates with international standard competencies, social and spiritual commitment.
To finance the construction of the school buildings, dormitories and workshops, including IT, Technical-Vocational machinery, transport vehicles, and the provision of furnishings and other equipment, is the AGFI which also have committed to partly finance senior high school’s annual operating costs for the first 5 years of operation.
