Cagayan de Oro’s City Health Office is now worried about increasing rate of teenage pregnancies in the city.
According to a report by Bombo Radyo, one of the region’s Public Nurse II, Jeanette Rodriguez, has stated that based on their records around 5 teenagers give birth each day.
This distress was intensified with the fact that the youngest pregnancy recorded in CDO this year is at the age of 10 years old.
Moreover, Rodriguez said that the influence of social media, sexual curiosity, and the lack of parental guidance further intensify the cases of teenage pregnancy.
