18 Aug Telepsychiatry In CDO JR Borja General Hospital!
On August 23, Tuesday, the JR Borja General Hospital (JRBGH) will launch the Telepsychiatry for Kagay-anons. It intends to give attention to individuals who suffer from mental illness in Cagayan de Oro.
JRBGH chief executive officer, Dr. Ramon Nery, and heads of the hospital implements Telepsychiatry to provide a more accessible treatment to patients.
Telepsychiatry is the application of telemedicine to the specialty field of psychiatry. The term typically describes the delivery of psychiatric assessment and care through videoconferencing. With this, patients from the city won’t bother going to hospitals to have them checked personally by doctors.
On August 25, JRBGH will celebrate their 53rd anniversary and the launching of Telepsychiatry in the hospital. During the celebration, Gift of Sight Program will be held and a ceremonial turn-over of breastfeeding equipment.
