24 Nov Terrorism Threats in Mindanao Intensifies

“Extreme and Severe”, these were the words used by the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office in an interview conducted by sunstar.com. According to COCPO the dangers we experienced this year are spreading throughout Mindanao.
The COCPO Director, Senior Superintendent Robert Roy Bahian, said that we are currently in the 4A level of the National Security Base Assessment. This is an alarming news since the highest threat level is 5.
The provinces of Lanao del Norte and Lanao del Sur are also in the same threat level based on the data gathered by the intelligence community.
Bahian also stated that they are doing the best that they can in enforcing tighter security measures. Especially in public areas, multiple entries and exit points, and the hinterlands within this municipality.
He also wants to urge the residents in this beloved city of ours to contribute to improving our safety by reporting suspicious persons and events.
