31 May Top Official of New People’s Army Now in Jail After Encounter In Bukidnon
Mga higala! New People’s Army leader, Elizalde Arcella Cañete, who is also known as “Ka Jinggoy”, is now in jail after a bloody encounter with the army at Kitaotao, Bukidnon.
According to a report by Bombo Radyo, PNP regional spokesperson, Supt. Lemuel Gonda said in a statement that Cañete is of the top persons in their most wanted list due to multiple cases over the years. He is also the successor of NPA’s Leoncio Pitao, aka Commander Parago, who was killed in an earlier fight, Gonda added.
Moreover, the authorities also revealed that Cañete’s New People’s Army group are the ones operating in the tri-boundaries of Bukidnon, Davao del Norte, and Davao City.
As of now, Cañete is finally in the secure custody of Davao City Police Office after being previously detained in Don Carlos Municipal Police Station.
