29 Nov Traffic Lights in CdeO Operational by December

The Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA) of Cagayan de Oro City finally announced their plan on activating all or most traffic light systems in the city by December.
In an article released by sunstar.com, Engr. Nonito Oclarit (RTA Overseer) said they are currently installing these traffic lights. He also stated that they currently have 400 RTA personnel. In which 300 of these are assigned to monitor traffic in the various roads of the city.
However, these numbers aren’t enough to cover every nook and cranny. And they certainly can’t fix the twisted mentality of motorists who drive recklessly without regard for the safety of others.
The RTA would also like to remind our residents that these traffic lights cannot guarantee the safety and improved flow of traffic unless all drivers learn to be more responsible.
