22 Sep Tropical Depression “Helen” Expected to Enter PAR On Saturday
On September 22, Thursday, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced that the tropical depression named “Helen” is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Saturday.
The tropical depression retained its intensity with maximum sustained winds at 55 kilometers per hour, PAGASA said in its 11 a.m. advisory.
The cyclone was last detected at 2,035 km east of Mindanao, now moving west-northwest at 35 kph.
According to PAGASA, the southwest monsoon (habagat) is also affecting the province of Palawan.
PAGASA added that the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms in the coming days.
