13 Dec Tropical Depression Urduja Causes Moderate Rainfall In The City
In a statement released by PAGASA, since Tuesday afternoon the low-pressure area (LPA) at the east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, has developed into a tropical depression named Urduja.
Currently, Urduja is located at 455km East of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte with maximum winds if 55km/h and gustiness of up to 65km/h.
Accordingly, this is the reason why the city is experiencing light to moderate rainfall.
Meanwhile, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management released a general flood advisory to the following areas:
- Misamis Oriental – Rivers and its tributaries particularly Odiongan, Gingoog, Balatocan, Cabulig, Lower Tagoloan, Lower/Middle Western Cagayan, Iponan, and Alubijid.
- Bukidnon – Rivers and its tributaries particularly Upper Tagoloan and Upper/Eastern Cagayan.
- Lanao Del Norte – Rivers and its tributaries particularly Mandulog, Agus, Liangan, and Maranding.
- Misamis Occidental – Rivers and its tributaries particularly Clarin, Palilan, and Aloran.
Everyone, especially those residing in flooded barangays, is encouraged to prepare, take appropriate actions and keep posted on updates.
