15 Dec Tropical Storm Odette Now Nearing Typhoon Level
Mga higala! Severe Tropical Storm Odette is now intensifying and is nearing the typhoon category, in terms of strength!
This was disclosed by PAGASA in a tropical cyclone bulletin earlier today, December 15, 2021.
As of 4:00 am, the said storm is now around 735 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur (8.8°N, 133.0°E) with maximum sustained winds of 110 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 135 km/h, and a central pressure of 980 hPa.
Odette is now moving west-northwestward at 25 km/h and has strong winds of up to 330 km from the center.
BTW, Signal No. 1 has been declared in various areas in the Visayas.
