05 Dec Truck Driver Killed, 2 Passengers Wounded in CDO Road Accident
A fruit truck driver was killed while 2 passengers were wounded in a road accident at Upper Puerto, Cagayan de Oro on December 3, Saturday at around 4 a.m.
According to a report from ABS-CBN News, the 10-wheeler wing van allegedly lost its brake which opted the driver to hit a mango tree at the edge of an abyss.
The truck was loaded with boxes of mangoes and bananas that feel into an abyss early Saturday morning.
The two other passengers were stuck inside the vehicles and rescuers carefully tried to free them.
The driver died while his two passengers were immediately brought to the nearest hospital, said incident commander of Oro Rescue, Jonathan Paulo del Rosario.
