In a report from Rappler, a revised executive order (EO) authored by newly-elected US President Donald Trump might include the southern Philippines in the controversial travel ban, according to the US law firm Hammond Law Group LLC.

The law firm said on February 1, 2017, Wednesday, that the draft of the modified Executive Order is currently being circulated for review, adding that it may include Afghanistan, Colombia, Egypt, Lebanon, Pakistan, southern Philippines, Sulu/Sulawesi Seas Littoral, trans-Sahara (Mali), and Venezuela in the travel ban which was implemented on January 25, 2017.

However, Filipinos hold just one Philippine passport, so it’s not clear how they will be distinguish those who come from the southern Philippines.

The Hammond Law Group said that in its immigration alert recent update, nothing has been confirmed but the information was sourced out from the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) which they consider as a very credible source. The latter then tweeted in February 2, 2017, Thursday, that there was no confirmation regarding other countries added to the travel ban and that they will continue to provide updates.
