31 May Two NPA Rebels Killed by the Army in Salay
On Friday, May 27, spokesman of the 58th Infantry Battalion, Army Capt. Nestor Endozo said that two members of the New People’s Army Front 4B Committee have been slain in the ongoing military attacks in Bunal, Salay, Misamis Oriental.
The Army used cannons to dismantle the guerillas. They have made the kill when they traced the exact location of the enemy camp, giving them a better precision to properly direct the cannons for their assault.
“Until now, we are conducting a continuing hot pursuit operation against them to protect the people in the area,” Endozo said.
In the side of the Army, Endozo said that they are no recorded casualties on their side, as well as the civilians that they are protecting from the rebels.
