Anyone who’s ever passed Butcher’s Best (near Xavier University main campus) must have wondered where that long line of people at the jeepney stop is headed.

If you ever find yourself Uptown and jonesing for a place to snack it up, have a good meal, or have a good time in general, we’ve got you covered. Here’s a quick list of establishments you can check out:

Chimmy’s Chicken & Beer is straightforward in its marketing, but did you know it’s also a quick walk away from a carwash? Chimmy’s tagline is “chimaek ta!” – chimaek being a portmanteau of chicken and maekju, the Korean word for beer. Hit the place up for some really good chicken and beer at the diner while you get your car cleaned up nearby. Multitasking!

Blugre Coffee

If you’ve been aching for a side of kimbap along with your coffee, then this is the perfect place for you.
