26 Feb COVID-19 Vaccination Of CDO’s Frontliners & Senior Citizens To Start This July
Mga higala! The vaccination against COVID-19 for frontliners and senior citizens in Cagayan de Oro City is expected to start this July 2021!
This was recently disclosed by Dr. Lorraine Nery of the City Health Office (CHO) in one of their daily press briefings, in accordance with the anticipated arrival of COVID-19 vaccines in the Philippines this February or March.
In preparation for this, vaccination drills and other measures are now being conducted all over the city. Various elementary and high schools have also been identified as potential vaccination venues.
ICYDK, below are the national government’s priorities for vaccination:
- Healthcare workers
- Vulnerable citizens
- Indigent senior citizens
- Poor communities
- Uniformed personnel
- Teachers and school workers
- Government workers
- Essential workers vulnerable and co-morbid groups
- Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs)
- Other Remaining
- Workforce
- Students
