In an article posted by Bombo Radyo Cagayan de Oro, Wao, Lanao del Sur is now under state of calamity after it was hit by a 4.2 magnitude earthquake which affected 20 of its barangays.

According to the head of Wao Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council, the initial damage of properties is worth 10 million pesos.

There were hundreds of families affected by the calamity where thousands of homes are lightly damaged as well as public and private infrastructures.

There are no reported cases of deaths after the earthquakes but there are seven residents who were injured.

On the other hand, the municipality of Kalilangan, Bukidnon is yet to be put under state of calamity after a 5.3 magnitude earthquake hit the area where five barangays are affected.

Bukidnon PDRRMC head Johan Israel Damasco said that the series of earthquakes affected 429 families and 10 of whom are wounded due to falling debris.

Other affected barangays are Barangay Macaopao, Lampamusan, West Poblacion and Brgy. Public.
