WATCH! How to experience & explore CdeO on a tight budget

Red Russel travels CdeO in a tight budget

With so many things to do and can be enjoyed in Cagayan de Oro City, which one goes on top of your to-do list and which ones go to the bottom. A rising Youtube and Facebook video blogger, Red Russel, created his own itinerary for several days of roaming around in The City of Golden Friendship with a twist- a strict budget of P4,300.

Finding the next big thing in hotels and transient staying in CdeO may be so much easy but discovering a place for a night’s stay with a strict budget can be a bit of a challenge. Luckily for Red, he has found a place to stay in for one night at P600 at the House of Java at Barangay Sto. Niño near Cogon Public Market. According to him, the place is place where it creates an illusion that sends one away from the hassle-buzzle of the city life while knowing the fact it is actually located in the middle of the city.

Staying at the House of Java is also beneficial to travelers especially that it’s just a stone’s throw away from Limketkai Mall and Robinson’s. The guest house also allows their visitors to cook their own food so it saves money from buying expensive foods at restaurants.

For Red, eating healthy food is everything, so he chose to  buy 1kg Banana (P50), 6 pcs Large Eggs (P38), 1 kg Brown Rice (P62), 1kg Chicken Breast (P145), and Condiments (P100) for a total of P395 which is good for a three-day meal.

After securing food to eat for a couple of days, he then went on to try the famous Mapawa Nature Park in Malasag Barangay Cugman. At the nature park, one will not be able to resist jumping into the cold waters of the parks hidden mini water falls and so did Red Russel. All for P1300, your sweet escape from the stressful city life will be resolved in Mapawa Nature Park.

When in CdeO, one should not miss experiencing the adrenaline rush that only White Water Rafting in CdeO can give. With P1,200 per head (Bugsay River Rafting), you can already enjoy the 12 km stretch of Cagayan de Oro River and unleash the wild spirit in you while feeling the sharp coldness of the water in every twist and turn of the boat.

So that’s it, for 3 days and 2 nights, Red was able to enjoy CdeO at the same time he did not go out of money in his pocket. If he can do it, so can you.
