Mga higala! A woman was found dead yesterday, October 3, 2019, at around 12:00 noon, inside a pension house in Brgy. Barra, Opol, Misamis Oriental!

The woman was discovered by a room attendant covered with a pillow and blanket, without any underwear and with her hands and feet tied up.

According to a report from ABS-CBN News, CCTV footage showed that the woman checked-in with a man on Wednesday, October 2, at around 10:00 pm. The man was then seen leaving the pension house at 12:00 am.

With the help of a voter certification in her belongings, the victim was identified as Samirah Marayan, 28 years old, a resident of Brgy. Gasi in Laguindingan.

Jobert Marayan, Samirah’s husband, said that he last saw his wife when he brought her to ride a jeepney, along the highway in Laguindingan, so that she could visit her parents in Cagayan de Oro.

He also added that he does not know the man her wife checked-in with at the pension house.

The police are now investigating a possible lead that will help catch the suspect.
