A 32-year-old woman died in a tragic accident at Barangay Tablon, Cagayan de Oro City.
According to a report from ABS-CBN News, the woman was sideswiped by an elf truck and she was also struck by another vehicle which caused her death.
The victim was identified as Leah Grace Labor, a single mother from Compostella Valley.
It was said that the victim was about to go home and is crossing the roads in Baloy, Barangay Tablon on December 7, Wednesday night.
Labor was declared dead on the spot as she was struck by a truck loaded with cooking oil at around 6 p.m.
Due to the lack of street light in the said place, the truck driver identified as Loreto Fernandez did not notice Labor crossing the road.
The truck driver is now detained and will be facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
Witness’ of the incident indicated that another vehicle also hit the victim, the police are still investigating these reports.
