08 Jun Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan Among Top Performing Accountancy Schools in the Philippines

In the recent May 2016 board exam results, 28 out of 37 examinees from Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan successfully passed the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination making it to rank at the 6th spot with a passing rate of 75.68%. The university soars high as one of the top performing accountancy schools in the country, and also, the only CDO university that was recognized on the said list.
On May 24, the Professional Regulation Commission reported that out of 6,925 examination takers, 2,967 passed with a national passing rate of 42.91%, from cities of Baguio, Manila, Cebu, Davao, Legazpi, Iloilo and Cagayan de Oro.
Schools that had 20 or more examinees were the only schools considered for the ranking, with Ateneo de Naga that ranked at the 9th spot, and Xavier the only Jesuit universities that made it in the list of best accountancy schools in the country.
