19 May Xavier University showcases artworks by Kids at Museo de Oro
From Xavier University article, Sining sa Tag-araw 2017 culminating exhibit was successfully held at Fr. Demetrio SJ Gallery at Xavier University’s- Museo de Oro.
It was attended by several people, especially the parents and families of the kids who presented their artworks in the event.
The museum curator and project coordinator- Oscar Floirendo said Sining sa Tag-araw aims to mold student in visual arts. He is also proud that Xavier University is the only institution that offers regular summer art program and that during culmination, all the art outputs of the students will be displayed in the museum gallery
Each year, professionals artists are invited to mentor the students. The current resource artist this summer was Jake Vamenta, Grand Prize Winner of the Philippine Arts Awards back in 2012.
