President’s Scholars (Top 1-15) | Merit Scholars (Top 16-30) | Academic Scholars (Top 31-100)
Step 1. Register for and take the Online Scholarship Examination. Details of the registration process and examination dates are found on this page: https://www.xu.edu.ph/testing-dates.
Step 2. Top exam performers are notified via email of the scholarship they qualify for. Qualifiers must create an account in the XU Scholarships Portal: http://scholarship.xu.edu.ph/ to begin their application. It is highly recommended that only one active email address (preferably Gmail) is used all throughout the applications process.
Step 3. Wait to receive the Initial Approval via email. The email enumerates the list of documentary requirements the applicant needs to submit.
Step 4. Submit via email the clear scanned copies or photos of the required documents. Applications without the required documents or with incomplete information will not be processed. If applicant is unable to submit a document, they must provide an explanation letter.
Step 5. Applicants with complete documentary requirements are approved for a scholarship and will receive the Notice of Scholarship Award (NSA).
Step 6. New scholars may upload the NSA in lieu of the proof of down payment during enrolment.
St. Ignatius of Loyola Scholars
Step 1. Create an email message with SUBJECT: Last Name, First Name_St. Ignatius of Loyola Scholarship Higher Ed Application (ex. Dela Cruz, Juan_St. Ignatius de Loyola Scholarship Higher Ed Application)
Step 2. Attach e-copies* of the following requirements to the composed email:
a) Application letter addressed to:
Tyron Keith Maru V Sabal
OIC-Director, Admissions & Aid Office
b) Senior High School Report Card (Form 138)
c) Certifications from both the:
i.) School Principal
ii.) Class Adviser or Guidance Counselor
Certificate must bear the school seal and should indicate that the student is Top 1/Top 2 of the entire graduating batch with at least 90 students.
d) Any of the following proof of family income:
i.) Parent’s Income Tax Return (ITR of both parents)
ii.) Affidavit of source of income with amount
iii.) OFW – Photocopy of contract
iv.) Affidavit of Support with amount
e) Admissions Clearance (secured upon successful admissions application to XU.)
*Please note that when documents are not scanned, mobile photos may be submitted in lieu of, but they MUST be clear and contents are readable.
Step 3. Email your application with the attached complete documentary requirements to scholarships@xu.edu.ph. Applications without the required documents or with incomplete information will not be processed. If you are unable to submit a document, please provide an explanation letter.
Step 4. Wait to hear from the Admissions and Aid Office if you are qualified for the St. Ignatius de Loyola Scholarship. If qualified, then you must create an account in the XU Scholarships Portal: http://scholarship.xu.edu.ph/. It is highly recommended that you use only one active email address (preferably Gmail) all throughout the applications process. An Initial Approval will be emailed upon successful account creation in the portal.
Step 5. The applicant waits for the University President to approve their application. Once approved, the grantee will receive the Notice of Scholarship Award (NSA).
Step 6. New scholars may upload the NSA in lieu of the proof of down payment during enrolment.
St Francis Xavier Scholars
Step 1. Register for and take the Online Scholarship Examination. Details of the registration process and examination dates are found on this page: https://www.xu.edu.ph/testing-dates.
Step 2. Takers are notified via email if they are qualified to apply for the St. Francis Xavier scholarship. Qualifiers must create an account in the XU Scholarships Portal: http://scholarship.xu.edu.ph/ to begin their application. It is highly recommended that only one active email address (preferably Gmail) is used all throughout the applications process.
Step 3. Wait to receive a PENDING LETTER via email. The email enumerates the list of documentary requirements the applicant needs to submit.
Step 4. Submit clear scanned copies or photos of the required documents. Applications without the required documents or with incomplete information will not be processed. If you are unable to submit a document, please provide an explanation letter.
Step 5. Applicants with complete documentary requirements and verified combined family annual income within the Php 500K limit will be sent an INITIAL APPROVAL LETTER. (Some applicants may be required to submit additional documents for further evaluation.)
Step 6. The applicant waits for the University President to approve their application. Once approved, the grantee will receive the Notice of Scholarship Award (NSA).
Step 7. New scholars may upload the NSA in lieu of the proof of down payment during enrolment.
