23 Feb XU Mock Polls 2016 Results Revealed: Duterte, Robredo, Zubiri and Moreno Garnered Most of the Votes For Each Position
Last February 19, 2016 to February 20, 2016, days before the first presidential debate held at Capitol University in Cagayan de Oro, was Xavier University’s mock elections. Organized by the Kristohanong Katilingban sa Pagpakabana – Social Involvement Office (KKP-SIO) through the LIHUK 2016 Network (Lambigit Igsoon alang sa Hiniusang pag-Uswag sa atong Katilingban) with the cooperation of the Central Student Government Electoral Commission, the XU mock polls results was released by the University Communications Office.
The mock polls was participated among all students, faculty and staff of the university who were given the opportunity to think of his/her preferred candidates for the positions President, Vice President, Senators, Mayor and Vice Mayor. Below are the official results.
Presidential (Percentage of Votes vs Candidates)

- Rodrigo Duterte (PDP-Laban) – 65.13%
- Miriam Defensor-Santiago (People’s Reform Party) – 13.38%
- Mar Roxas (LP) – 9.31%
- Grace Poe (Ind) – 6.93%
- Jejomar Binay (UNA) – 1.96%
- Voted for none – 3.29%

- Leni Robredo (LP) – 27.17%
- Bongbong Marcos (Ind) – 24.25%

The said mock elections happened from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM on the mentioned dates held in two venues known as the mock precincts namely the XU Peace Park and faber Hall Lobby. It was made possible through an electronic voting system designed by the Central Student Government Electoral Commission. There was a total of 1,428 members of the XU community who participated the activity representing approximately 10% of the total population of the campus with which 60.50% of the total voters are COMELEC registered.
