15 May Zamboanga City Launches High-End Surveillance Center With Facial Recognition Technology
Mga higala! Zamboanga City has recently launched its state-of-the-art Security and Surveillance Coordinating Office (SSCO), a command center built to improve their city’s security measures against crime and terrorism.
This command center is a hub for all surveillance cameras in the city, which are equipped with high definition zooming capabilities and a facial recognition system, backed by Huawei Technologies.
These cameras are installed in strategic areas and will be monitoring 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
According to a post by Mayor Beng Climaco, the command center is part of her administration’s priority thrust to provide a safe and secured city where Christians, Muslims, and Lumads peacefully coexist, and business thrive, integrating the latest technology has to offer towards a smart and resilient city.
